For Peak Design’s kickstarter campaign, they partnered with renowned adventure traveler/photographer Trey Ratcliff to create one bag that adapts to your gear and lifestyle. Everything has a purpose and each feature is well thought out. Each model contains ample storage and organizational compartments that maximizes the bag’s space and functionality. It’s no wonder that it’s the most successful Kickstarter backpack, surpassing it’s goal by 1200% and raising $6,565,782.

Peak Design’s philosophy in not wasting space holds true with the Everyday Backpack. The main compartment has dual openings, and you have access to the entire volume from either side. All the zippers on this bag are water resistant and have zip hoods on both ends. The dual side zips can be accessed with the bag swung to your side – a feature made possible by the Axial straps.

The Everyday Backpack also features a magnetic closure, origami-inspired dividers, and the expandable protective shell that is completely waterproof. Peak Design included a number of other thoughtful features. Side pockets have compression straps that come out and help secure a tripod or similar load. Reach under the front of the bag and open the magnetic closure, you’ll find two more compression straps that hook onto anchor loops. The straps themselves are narrow and use J hooks. They mate into simple loops that are twisted, giving you just the right angle to hook into. And releasing the straps is also a easy.

The Everyday Backpack also comes in two sizes: 20L and 30L. Each bag is also available in two colours. The first is charcoal with red accents and black trim and the second is ash with blue/leather accents and black trim.
