Brainstorming is one of the best ways to come up with new ideas. It’s also a good way to get the crappy ideas out or your head so you can think more clearly. And even the most experienced writer won’t come up with great ideas in their first drafts.

Thank goodness for the invention of whiteout—and later—the backspace key.

In his last semester at George Mason University—trying to stay awake through his British and Irish 18th Century Drama class—Paul came up with an idea. That afternoon, he wrote his first post for his new site called Sh*t Rough Drafts. In it, he imagined what the first version of our most iconic pieces of literature and cinema were like. And a year later, the success of Paul’s site has led to a book; one filled with hilarious imagined rough drafts of movies, TV shows, books, and more.
