After PANTONE reveals its Colour of the Year, comes designers’ take on the trend. This year’s colour was Ultra Violet, representing “originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.
Adidas released its AlphaBOUNCE, inspired by PANTONE’s selection last month. Nike has now caught up with the return of its Air Huarache Ultra; the multi-coloured women’s sneaker that comes with an ultra-light sole. The Air Huarache Ultra sports upper details in “Gunsmoke” with “Particle Rose” accents to offer a fresh new way for consumers to sport the sneakers’ style.
Some of the reasons for the re-release of the sneaker are that earlier purchasers of the 90s Air Huarache Ultra loved the snug fit; making the experience of wearing them extremely comfortable. In fact, quite a number of the users claimed the shoes really run true to size and fits really well to the contours of the feet.
This new stripped down version of the iconic Huarache sneakers are extremely lightweight. And while it may have some minor flaws, what further draws many sneaker loyalists to this particular design is its reasonable price that doesn’t compromise on superior cushioning and unbelievable comfort. The sneaker is currently selling online at US$175.
