100 graffiti artists asked to paint a school before it’s renovated

The majority of schools are pretty bland; neutral coloured paint and politically correct designs. But 100 graffiti artists have turned the walls of a dormitory in Paris into stunning canvases of art and creativity.

As part of the Rehab 2 festival, the 100 graffiti artists were invited to paint the interior of the Cité Internationale Universitaire. And over the course of three weeks, they were given free reign to let their imaginations run wild before the space was opened to the general public. It’s not uncommon for graffiti artists to take advantage of abandoned spaces to release their creativity; the festival is a natural evolution in how visitors experience this type of art.

Unfortunately, the exhibition will be on display only for a limited period of time. And soon the school will close for major renovations, erasing all this amazing art. Fortunately, photographers have documented the project so that their incredible efforts will live on.
