Street artist turns dirty vehicles into four-wheel masterpieces

The snow and slush of early spring are gone, but things are still a bit dirty. And chances are that your car could use a good wash to get off the dirt and grime its accumulated over the past season. Those who should, but don’t get around to cleaning their dirty vehicles, eventually get the “wash me” written somewhere on their vehicles.

However, where one person sees a dirty car, this one sees a blank canvas. Russian illustrator Nikita Golubev, aka Pro Boy Nick, is creating mobile works of art on the streets of Moscow. Using paintbrushes and his fingers, Nikita creates his designs with intricate detail on the surfaces of dirty vehicles. Featuring animals, bodily parts and visceral subjects, the series finds beauty in the mundane.

Before he started this ongoing project, Nikita also did plenty of painting, drawing and digital art; which you can see on his Facebook page. Surrealism, digital art, street art, film design and film art all fuel his work. However, dirt painting is his most recent project and is growing daily; as is Nikita’s notoriety. Fans from around the world are currently begging Nikita to bring a bit of magic to dirty vehicles in Costa Rica, Canada, USA and beyond.

Proving that art can be found in all places with a little bit of imagination, think twice before you take your car for a wash next time.
