Discover this student’s amazing freehand architectural sketches
In today’s digital age, it’s nice to see that some people are still using pencil and paper. And that includes architecture student, Adelina Gareeva. She drafts her work by hand, creating extremely detailed architectural sketches without a computer.
Adelina, who’s also a model, currently studies at the Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering. While there, she’s shown tremendous advancement when it comes to sketching architectural designs freehand. She then populates her Instagram with detailed drawings of famous sites from her extensive travels; as well as personal architectural fantasies. There you will find her laborious architectural sketches, publishing drawings she’s completed of the Panthéon in Paris, Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Kazan, the multi-spired Saint Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow, and more.
Adelina’s freehand drawings show her deft hand, as she easily moves from complex fantasy architecture to the lines of iconic monuments. With Adelina’s fine attention to detail and realism, she’ll likely continue to garner a solid following that will add on to her 25,000 supporters on Instagram.
