Artist Wolfram Kampffmeyer—aka PaperWolf—has become renowned for his talent creating stunning 3D geometric models; beautiful polygonal animals made from coloured paper.
Wolfram, who studied Computer Animation, became tired of sitting in front his computer all day. He watched his geometric models, just wishing he could hold them in his hands. Refusing to sit back any longer, he’s put his geometric models to paper. He started creating realistic sculptures of foxes, flamingoes, and other wild animals from paper and even offers stunning wooden sculptures.
Due to their reproducible nature, Wolfram’s clever works can take a variety of forms; these can be paper sculptures, post-cards with punch-out sculpture parts, and even light fixtures.
Each of his playful sculptures comes as a template of pre-cut pieces with perforated edges for easy folding. He also includes a detailed manual with step-by-step instructions. Wolfram recommends a glue stick when putting the geometric models together, as it’s the best form of adhesive.
”For assembling you need many hours of time, patience, and some spatial sense,” he explains. “The result [however] is more than rewarding!”
