Imagine your favourite songs. Now envision what those songs might look like. Vibrato is an online service that brings your songs to life by turning them into a wall art. The eye-catching artworks use sound waves, resulting in beautiful prints resembling inky, delicate nebulae.
Sure, you can put up band posters and album art. But the whole point of hanging stuff on your walls is to personalize your space and show what you’re into. And what better way to showcase your favourite songs?
You can choose any sound you like for your art print; perhaps your favourite songs, wedding vows, or a special voice, and the final print is guaranteed to be one-of-a-kind. When you upload an MP3 file, Vibrato will translate the music file into a printed piece of wall art. Without relying on digital techniques to transform sound into visuals, the sound physically paints your artwork for you. This is achieved by dropping some ink over a plastic sheet and placing it over a speaker which plays your chosen sound. Then, the sound vibrations physically move and spread the ink, creating a piece that is totally unique.
The final product is scanned and printed onto 30×30 inch archival quality paper, and sent to you. The recipient will also receive the original 4″×4″ inked recording as a companion piece.
