Demiurgus Dreams, founded by Evgeny Hontor, has been making hand-crafted and hand-painted figurines since 2006. The studio creates stunning, intricate animal sculptures from velvet clay. The artworks stand out with their unique, detailed style that took him 6 years to perfect.

“I like to experiment with colors and images. I believe that the main thing in creative work is pleasure in the process and the result. If it doesn’t bring joy and pride to the author, how will other people believe it?”

When Evgeny started as a sculptor, the figurines were very simple and not very perfect. But there were people who loved it, and it gave him the strength to continue. It can take several hours to several days and even weeks to complete complex sculptures. The result is light sculptures fascinated with tiny details, swirls, and other textures.

Evgeny explains why he likes fantasy style:

“It is beautiful. It is the creation of the worlds. You can get carried away and explore new opportunities. It is a philosophy of life – to create. For me it is.”

No wonder these animal figurines look like they come straight from a magical fairytale. Evgeny makes master models himself and develops painting schemes for sculptures. However, he has a team of assistants to help around the studio.
