Planetary Lollipops: A sweet way to enjoy the universe

Take a sweet journey through our universe with gourmet candy maker Vintage Confections. While you typically need a telescope to view far-away worlds and swirling nebulas, there’s now easier—and tastier—way to enjoy our solar system.

Planetary Lollipops contain photorealistic images of the planets from our solar system. These lollipops come in a collection of ten. Yes, there are technically be only eight planets, but the store also included the Sun and the dwarf planet Pluto. And each of the 10 Planetary Lollipops tastes different and feature sweet and fruit flavours.

Planetary Lollipop Flavours

  • Blackberry
  • Cherry
  • Cotton candy
  • Guava
  • Marshmallow
  • Pear

But if you’re wondering which planet tastes like what, the company has included a “planet ID card” that tells you exactly what you’ll be enjoying. All of the Planetary Lollipops are made of ingredients such as sugar, corn syrup, water, and artificial flavour and colour.

Each equally-sized lollipop features an edible flat image of a celestial body in between a black back and a transparent front. As you rotate your Planetary Lollipops, the clear front makes the outer space object appear 3D. To achieve their photorealistic design, the company combines an old candy-making process that dates back to the 1800s with modern-day technology. The result produces pops that are both edible and hand-held works of art.
