These chocolate bars are beautiful, edible pieces of modern art

Mexico-based Unelefante was founded by fine jewellery designer Tatiana Sanchez. It was a response to the mass-produced products flooding Mexico and putting pressure on hand-made traditions. Teaming up with Chef Jorge Llanderal and his family, they created a collection of beautifully designed chocolate bars that look like brightly coloured modern art paintings.

“These creations have the ability to generate an unforgettable experience and really make people smile,” explains Tatiana Sánchez.

Unelefante’s first product was a collection of large balloons that were sent to customers with a personalized card. Tatiana wanted to elevate her products to the next level. Her love for chocolate drove her to connect with Chef Jorge Llanderal and his family.

“We design the chocolates, the recipes are a collaboration, and he makes the chocolate,” says Tatiana.

From that, the edible modern art chocolate line grew rapidly. Inspired by the unmistakable works of Jackson Pollock, these chocolate bars look nearly as good as they taste. Crafted by the dedicated artisans at Unelefante, the Pollock bar was the first one created.

The bars are hand-painted with cocoa butter in vivid colours, ensuring that each bar is totally unique and one of kind. Finally, the bars are tucked safely inside a vibrant, paint-splattered package. Perfect as a gift or a special treat for yourself. Eat half and frame the rest.
