Rose Quartz and Serenity, PANTONE’s 2016 hair colour trends

Ever since PANTONE announced the selection of two colours of the year for 2016, companies, artists and designers have quickly begun to integrate them in products and artworks. If you’re not familiar with the selections, they are Rose Quartz and Serenity.

It wasn’t long before Rose Quartz and Serenity made its influence on fashion and even work their way to hair colour trends. Now, as a gentleman, I traditionally keep my fashion posting to that of men’s fashion, but I found this trend rather interesting. Estelle Baumhauer of eSalon does as well and shares that these colours can be worn as soft ombré at the ends of the hair, or on their own as individual colours.

“I’m always excited for the announcement of Pantone’s Colour of the Year selection. Like everyone else, I was shocked when two colours were chosen, but Rose Quartz and Serenity definitely don’t disappoint as this year’s picks,” says Estelle.

She also predicted that we’ll see pastel peach, mint and purple start to pop up everywhere, inspired by these soft shades. Here’s a few hairstyles from Instagram showing that the trend has already started to catch on.
