Dunkin’ and Saucony reunite for donut-inspired sneakers
For the second year in a row, sports gear brand Saucony has teamed up with Dunkin’ for co-branded sneakers that looks so good you’ll want to put them in your mouth. The two Boston-based companies have created a very special shoe for the upcoming Boston Marathon.
Even though Dunkin’ has ditched their Donuts monicker, the Saucony x Dunkin’ Kinvara 10 represents the inherit relationship between coffee and donuts with a metallic donut decal on its laces and a signature styrofoam cup of coffee on its tongue. The rest of the sneaker is emblazoned with Dunkin’s colours, pink and orange, with a white base on its upper. And finally, a reflective “Boston” imprint is also found on the heel of the footwear.
“The new Saucony x Dunkin’ Kinvara 10 represents the speed for which our brand is recognized and the deep Boston heritage and support for marathoners that we share with Saucony,” said Justin Unger, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Dunkin’ Brands. “We are proud to once again collaborate with Saucony to celebrate the love of Dunkin’ and literally keep people running throughout marathon season and all year-round.”
Last spring, the first sneaker of this collaboration sold out in record time, so if you have been craving a bold and fresh refill, keep reading to find out how to get a pair.
These donut-inspired sneakers are priced at US$120 for the men’s version — kid’s and women’s are also available — and can be purchased now from Saucony’s webstore.
