A beautiful geometric chocolate bar that’s too lovely to eat
When you think of food, how it tastes is probably top of mind. However, people also buy food because of how it looks; the packaging, colours, even how it’s displayed.
Designer Adam Gill was given the task of designing the signature chocolate bar mold of company Beau Cacao; founded by his friends Bo and Thomas and based in Portland, Oregon.
Adam ended up going far beyond producing a merely satisfactory piece of work. The end result is one that’s drastically different from the chocolate bars found on the market today. Rather than designing the chocolate bar with traditional square pieces, he created a 3D geometric pattern that adorns the surface of the bar. Thus, making it both actual candy and beautiful eye candy at the same time.
This beautiful geometric chocolate bar makes for a highly creative visual branding identity for the Beau Cacao. Despite the creative geometric shapes on the bars, they are still designed in such a way that they can easily be broken apart during consumption.
