Sometimes if you didn’t have one you might’ve used a folded corner or spare receipt. However, a good bookmark will hold your place more clearly and reliably than a grubby bit of scrap paper. You can thank jewellery designer and photographer Manon Richard for creating just that. Manon is known for her glow-in-the-dark accessories, but this is the first time she’s applied her magical technique to bookmarks. The results of these glow-in-the-dark bookmarks are taking avid readers by storm. Her reasoning behind this project is simple — she wanted to find her books in the dark. 

“I work full time at home to create jewellery that glows in the dark with joy and passion, I am blessed to be able to do what I love.”

Manon also makes other products such as pendants, earrings and rings. And in order to make her products authentic, she uses a high-quality glow-in-the-dark material with a long afterglow effect. The material glows bright and shines in a blue-green turquoise colour. All you need to do is charge the bookmark beneath a light for a few minutes and it’ll slowly release its glowing energy throughout the night. They even come in all kinds of styles and designs.
