Chances are that you probably have at least one item from IKEA somewhere in your home, maybe more. Their products are modern, attractive, and affordable. IKEA Saudi Arabia asked their ad agency, Memac Ogilvy & Mather, to create a reminder to all shop goers of how affordable their furniture is. After all it’s not everywhere that people can get beautiful Scandinavian design for the price of a coffee.
Memac Ogilvy & Mather took that idea of affordability to create these simple but brilliant ads in for their campaign called “IKEA. It’s that affordable.” Instead of simply showcasing the prices, these ads communicate affordability in a creative and clever manner.
The ads show cropped images of IKEA furniture on everyday items like coffee cups, toothpaste tubes, pizza boxes, etc. Together the items for a complete image of the furniture, just like a jigsaw puzzle. Check them out below:
